Create a New Role

To Create a New Role:

  1. Click on the Setup New Role link.




     
  2. Enter the role name.
  3. Using the Copy Permissions drop-down options, select Set permissions manually.

 

 

  1. Click on the category to expand the list of permissions. Using the check boxes, select the permissions to allocate to the new role.
    Optionally, use the Select All or Unselect All buttons at the top to select all or none of the permissions in a category. 

 

 

  1. Click Create Role.


Create New Role Tips:

  • Either set role permissions manually or copy permissions from an existing role and make edits.
  • Select All and Unselect All links are available to assist with this process.
  • A parent/child hierarchy exists within the role permissions. For example, if you want a user to add memos, they must have access to the Memos screens first. Memos is a parent permission to the Add Memos option.
  • Hover over an option to see a text description.
  • Contact the Help Desk (itservicedesk@coop.org) to control certain functions for specific SPAs. For example, turn off credit card screens for debit card SPAs.
