Chip Detail

These fields display only for EMV chip cards.


 

Field Descriptions:

Interface: Identification for the support of contact only cards or dual interface (contact and contactless) cards.

Chip: The name of the chip.

Chip Expiration Date: The chip manufacturer defined expiration date. Plastics cannot be produced from the vendor after this date.

Chip Application Version: The payment application that resides on the chip.

Operating System: The operating system that the chip operates on.

Crypto: The type of cryptography that is utilized for transactions performed by the chip.

LOA Approval Identifier: The Letter of Approval identification number provided by Visa.

MC Type Approval ID: The approval ID provided by Mastercard.

Production BAP Reference Number: Production Batch Approval Process testing reference number.

M Cycle BAP Reference Number: Test cycle Batch Approval Process reference number.

Industry/Association: The industry of association that the chip configuration is certified with.

Association Profile: The Visa and/or Mastercard profile association, such as Contact for contact only chips, or Dual for both contact and contactless chips.

FD Profile: The Fiserv profile reference for card verification.

FD Smart Card Profile: The Fiserv profile reference for dual interface management.
