Chip Detail

This field will only display for EMV chip cards.


 

Field Descriptions:

Interface: Identification for the support of contact only cards or dual interface (contact & contactless) cards.

Chip: The name of the chip.

Chip Expiration Date: The chip manufacturer defined expiration date. Plastics cannot be produced from the vendor after this date.

Chip Application Version: The payment application that resides on the chip.

Operating System: The operating system that the chip operates on.

Crypto: The type of cryptography that is utilized for transactions performed by the chip.

LOA Approval Identifier: The ‘Letter of Approval’ identification number provided by Visa.

MC Type Approval ID: The approval ID that is provided by MasterCard.

Production BAP Reference Number: Production “Batch Approval Process” testing reference number.

M Cycle BAP Reference Number: Test cycle “Batch Approval Process” reference number.

Industry/Association: The industry of association that the chip configuration is certified with.

Association Profile: The Visa and/or MasterCard profile association such as ‘contact’ for contact only chips, or ‘dual’ for both contact and contactless chips.

FD Profile: The First Data profile reference for card verification.

FD Smart Card Profile: The First Data profile reference for dual interface management.
